In the last financial year the club paid $16,504,022 in Gaming Tax, $9,373,069 in GST and $902,307 in payroll tax.
Last financial year the club contributed $991,094 to sport in the local community. This equates to supporting a total of 32 individual affiliated sporting bodies and approximately 5 non-affiliated sports. The investment benefits over 5000 individuals.
The funding goes to subsidies for registration fees, sports clothing, ground maintenance, lighting and assistance for specific sports persons to attend state, national and international events.
The Community Development Support Expenditure Scheme (CDSE) is a scheme developed by the club industry and the NSW State Government to invest 1.5% of total gaming revenue towards community groups who come under two specific categories. Category 1 covers specific community welfare and social services, community development, community health services and employment assistance activities. Category 2 covers other community development support services.
Many CDSE recipients are not currently in the radar of State or Federal Government funding.
